Marie Dade is a lecturer in urban greening. She received her PhD in Landscape Ecology at the University of Queensland and has previously held research positions at McGill University, Canada, and the University of Queensland, Australia.

Marie’s research focuses on understanding the variables that influence the delivery of ecosystem services – the benefits people receive from nature, with a particular focus on the delivery of ecosystem services within urban green spaces. Her current and recent projects include:

  • Identifying how urban green spaces can provide multiple ecosystems services simultaneously
  • How the supply of ecosystem services within urban green spaces differ under alternate management regimes
  • How different types of green infrastructure influence the delivery of ecosystem services.
